DEX for Android - Tutorial for copying the DEX database to the SD card

In order to copy the dex.dict database from http://dex.adrianvintu.com to the SD card of the phone you must:
  1. Download the database archive from here (180MB) to your computer
  2. Unpack the dex.zip file -> you will obtain a file named dex.dict (size ~500 MB). For unpacking you can use Winrar or Winzip.
  3. Connect the phone to your computer using a USB cable
  4. A USB connection message will appear in the notification bar, like in the picture below

  5. Slide down the notification bar using your finger. A menu option will appear like shown below

  6. Press "Select to copy files to/from your computer.". Then click "Mount"

  7. Wait ~1 minute for two new drives to appear in "My Computer". One of them represents the phone SD card. In the example from the picture the drive is called "I:" but on your computer it may be another letter

  8. Copy the dex.dict file from your computer to the phone SD card. The file path should look like "I:\dex.dict" or the letter your SD card was assigned

  9. Slide down the notification bar using your finger. A menu option will appear like shown below

  10. Press "Select to turn off USB storage.". Then click "Turn Off"
